So My Child Went Missing

I know, I know. It sounds so dramatic, someone swooped down and dragged my child off in the night while I was left dying and bleeding on the floor. No, it’s not quite that horrible. No one was shot or any doors kicked in. Although, it would make more sense than what actually happened, thankfully no one was physically harmed in the process. There is definitely some psychological damage, but nothing a little anger and hatred won’t fix (and bunny, don’t forget bunny).

So, as some of you know, and now all of you know, I have a child. He is 9 years old. He has a mother, whom apparently felt it was okay to quit her job (told to me by her supervisor at her former place of work), move to North Carolina, and live with someone at 39 Buchanan Drive on Cherry Point Marine Airbase. I know, right? Say what?

Well that happened on the 12th of July. I was able to locate the mother via GPS (yay for technology), and then had her served with a summons. I’m excited, aren’t you? That means my son, who shall remain semi-nameless to keep all you cyber stalkers at bay for like 15 seconds ;) will be coming home soon and court action will allow him to stay here so he can go to school as planned. Apparently, I need to think of his welfare more, except I didn’t lie to him and say he was going on vacation and then move in with some man that the child has never met before and not let him communicate with his other parent. Yah, apparently I’m the irresponsible one, right?

This is exactly why we never got along, because apparently actions like the above are obviously completely normal and my view on reality is skewed. Whew!

Here We Go Again

It’s almost like they are trying to actually trying to make my life easier. From my job to my freaking hobbies. Take the job for example, when overwhelmed, I can finally fucking escalate the shit that’s keeping me behind. You might wonder how a Level 3 engineer might have the ability escalate. Aren’t we the last line of defense? Don’t ask, basically we take it up the ass for lack of foresight.

My hobbies on the other hand, Google is going to release the Android App Creator. It looks pretty fantastic. You can quickly deploy a simple app pretty easily. You basically drag along different boxes which appear to represent bits of code to do things. I’m a fan. Things are looking up! I’m discovering much more information about the Android platform, and that’s pretty amazing. You can do some pretty nifty stuff. I’ve also been helping people root their phones, which is definitely an experience. Some people are really impatient. I chalk this up to them not having any real technical background, so they don’t understand the difficulties that are sometimes involved with getting this stuff to work as one would expect. It’s not always easy, and it’s not always point and click.

I really should be sleeping, but I slept up until about 4 o’clock and I just can’t sleep anymore. I know I’m going to be tired at the end of the night, and that’s going to suck it pretty hard. Oh well, hopefully I’ll get out on time. I need to go make a freakin’ phone call. Blech. Later gators.

Yah, I'm good.

Click and it gets bigger! ^_^
