It's like Chobits, Ichi the Killer, and Grave of the Fireflies rolled into one, with the addition of much boobage. Actually no recent J-horror (but I did watch the K-horror revenge trilogy consisting of Sympathy for Mr. Vengeance, Oldboy, and Lady Vengeance), but I just started a new anime called Elfin Lied. I imagine this is more along the lines of...before the Native Americans got to the subjugation point. Like, while they were still capable of mounting an offensive.
