Back Again

Well, here I am again. And so soon at that! ^_^

As many of you will soon discover, I possess a good deal of rage. Not that all inclusive destroy the world kind of rage though. No, this is more of a cool, calm, and collected (C3) rage that seethes just beneathe surface. It’s like an ichor that slowly but steadily moves through the various humors of my body like warm tar. I say it like that because just as any high viscosity liquid, it has the ability to break loose under the correct circumstances. Now I can see the disturbed look on your face as you read these words, rest assured I am not the disgruntled postal worker that is holding an AK-47 (by far one of the most useful weapons for letting loose the dogs of war in a room and making sure nothing escapes) ready to wipe out the building. No, I’m not (in the words of Tyler Durden) going to stalk from office to office with an AR-10 gas powered semi-automatic weapon pumping round after round into colleagues and co-workers. I’m not that far off yet. ^_^ Yet.

So, here is your first taste of my displeasure with people. Not all people mind you but I use the blanket statement mainly because every human being has the potential to exercise this kind of stupidity, some just never get past that critical point where the world opens up and enlightenment flows from the heavens into the brain. Some people call this education, I like to stay away from such mundane points. I digress, a man robs a woman at gun point and proceeds to escape. The police have a description of the car (yes we will discuss police at some point) and find it. The criminal in question rams a police vehicle and proceeds to get out of the car, pointing his weapon at the police officer that has become trapped in his vehicular unit. Okay, that’s gotta suck for the police officer. Well some of his, meaning the police officer’s, cohorts (this is not a derogatory term) open fire on the assailant summarily killing him. Sounds like your run of the mill “Oh god he’s gonna kill Frank shoot ‘em” kind of happening. Now, I have no clue what all -really- transpired but that’s the jist of it right before you.

Enter sister or cousin of assailant on the 6 o’clock news! This is also the entry point of stupidity, who’d have thunk it! The chick gets on the TV and goes on about how he (the assailant of course) was not a violent man. Let us not forget that the previous night he did rob someone at gun point and may or may not have been willing to shoot a police officer. But no, he’s not a violent man, later it’s found out that the man was doped up on PCP or somethin’ similar I don’t recall at the moment. The girl continues speaking and pulls the “Race Card”, they shot him because he was black. Uhh…okay. And they shot his car up too. Uhhh….okie. and they murdered him. Uhhh….well yes they did kill him.

Now before I get slammed with e-mails about how I don’t know the black struggle and all that good stuff. Let’s review my race. I’m black, native american, chinese and white. I really don’t think anyone has room to start the whole “you don’t understand” thing, but if you wanna take it there that’s fine. Now, let’s continue shall we? Why is it that people insist, when it comes to the police, on saying it happened because the person was black? I just don’t get it. Yes everyone let’s ignore the fact he was armed, and on drugs, thusly dangerous. Let’s forget he robbed someone at gun point, and hey while we’re at it why don’t we ignore the fact that he trapped an officer in his car and was (to the naked eye since that’s all we have to use, none of us are psychic) prepared to end the officer’s life. Now, having forgotten all that we can say, “Oh yeah sure he didn’t need to be shot. He was murdered.” Only problem is, you can’t ignore those things because they happened and they happened in front of those officers who did what they were trained to do. White, black, chinese, purple he’s still be a cold body on the pavement (well given a little time anyhow).

This just got to me though, it reeks of the typical urban miseducation that you see on a daily basis no matter the subtlety. It’s not only miseducation but lack of education in general. The world is not out to get the minorities, any reasonably intelligent person can see that. Of course we can’t say the same for minorities necessarily being out to get the world. I’ve been there done that, I’ve had my pie and eaten it too? (No I just dislike cake I know the damn saying ^_^) All I’m really trying to get at is that it doesn’t help anyone to not look past the obviously stupid and unproven. I share a certain dislike for the police in general. But you can’t fault them for doing what they were trained to do. Of course there are obvious examples of when they did just plain wrong, but those are isolated incidents that do happen on occasion. Don’t get on the news and talk about race and “the Man trying to keep you down” when it clearly isn’t the case. Grow up and be semi-intelligent, even the dumb have more sense than the ignorant. Tsk.
